Edit the original author and co-authors of a post

By default, WordPress only allows to assign a post to one author. When working with Fallsky theme, you can add additional authors (co-authors) to a post.

So, there are 2 types of authors:

  • The original author of the post, or the lead author when there are multiple authors;
  • The other authors/contributors, as the co-authors.

Edit the original author

When editing a post, you can change the original author. In the WordPress Editor, click on Screen Options in the top right, and then check the box next to “Author“.

Once you check that box, you should see a new “Author” section appear below the WordPress Editor box. To change the original author of the post, please select a new author from the dropdown list, and then update the post.

Edit the co-authors

If there are more than one user in your WordPress website, you can add additional authors to a post.

When editing a post, you should see the “Fallsky Single Post Options” section below the WordPress Editor box. In this section, there will display the “Add Co-author(s)” option: it shows all users (except the original author of the post) in this website.

You can add one co-author by selecting the user name. Please hold the CTRL key (PC) or COMMAND key (Mac) to select multiple co-authors.
